Salted Nut Roll

Ingredients for Bars:

1 1/2 cups flour  

2/3 cup brown sugar  

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/4 tsp. baking soda  

1/4 tsp. salt

1/3 cup butter

1 egg

1 tsp. vanilla

3 cups miniature marshmallows


Ingredients for Topping:

2/3 cup white syrup

1/4 cup butter

2 tsp. vanilla

1 (12 oz) pkg. peanut butter chips

2 cups. Rice Krispies

2 cups salted peanuts


Directions:

Mix together first five ingredients, cut in butter. Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.

Press into a greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with marshmallows. Return to oven for 2 minutes. They will be soft, but not brown.

In a saucepan combine first 4 topping ingredients. Heat and stir until all are melted. Add Rice Krispies and salted peanuts. Spread the topping on the marshmallows. Cool.
