Ice Cream Topping Strawberry Sauce

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
1 tsp. cornstarch
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions:
Put strawberries in a sauce pan and mash them ever so slightly with a fork. Remove 2 Tbsp. of strawberry juice and mix with cornstarch to make a smooth paste. Set aside.
Add lemon juice and sugar to berries. Cook to a boil, then stir in the cornstarch mixture. Cook stirring constantly for a minute or two to thicken. Serve hot or cold. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
