Chex Mix

Store bought chex mixes can not even come close in comparing to the delicious freshness of this spectacular homemade party treat!

Ingredients:

3 cups corn chex cereal

3 cups rice chex cereal

2 cups wheat chex cereal

1 cup mixed nuts

2 cups pretzels

1 stick butter, melted

4 Tbsp. worchestershire sauce

1 tsp. onion powder

3/4 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)

Directions:

In a large, deep baking pan (a casserole dish or a pan used for cooking a roast works very well) combine the chex cereals, mixed nuts, and pretzels; set aside.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan and add the worchestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne pepper. Mix well into the melted butter.

Slowly drizzle the melted butter mixture over the cereal, mixing the cereal as you add the butter so that the melted butter does not soak the cereal on top but rather evenly coats the whole mixture equally.

Bake at 275° for about 45 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes to keep the mix from burning. Remove from the oven and continue to stir every 10 minutes or so as the chex mix cools.
