Tomato Soup

Directions:

1 bunch of celery

6 onions

1 peck tomatoes


Start onion and celery in plain water first. These take longer to cook. Cook tomatoes also while waiting for onion and celery to get tender. Mix all together and cook an additional 30-45 minutes. Put in blender and blend well. Sieve if you think there are too many seeds.


Then make a paste of:

1 cup flour

1 cups sugar

1 cup butter

1/3 cup canning salt

1/4 tsp. pepper


Add to blended tomatoes and boil 10 minutes. Seal in hot jars while hot. May need to process for about 20 minutes.
